Varnak Ecostay is a stunning mountain paradise that offers calm and solitude in the lap of the Eastern Himalayas. Just about two hours away from the busy town of DARJEELING, atop a 6709 ft ridge, sits this remote village of ALAYTAR, which is sparsely populated and beholds some of the most splendid views of majestic mountains, astounding valleys and vibrant sunrises as well as sunsets.. The closest town of Bijonbari is nearly an hour away from the property, so you can enjoy your privacy along with spectacular views of the valley.

About Us

Enjoy a serene break with your family and friends in this idyllic home in the hills, where you can escape to, every time you need to be one with nature.
VARNAK ECOSTAY is on the top of the Alaytar village in kolbong, which lies in the border of West Bengal and Sikkim .It has 2 stunning pine wood cottages in A frame, one with attic room and another a family room. A dormitory and tent facilities are also available for bigger groups of nature lovers . One can enjoy the view of the lush green pine forests on one side and the breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys and the Rammam river on the other side . One can have a visual treat of changing colours of the sun rise as well as the sunset, plenty to capture in ones camera and memories. Be prepared for exceptional homestyle food, star-gazing, bird-watching, the warm hospitality of the hosts and care taker and the rejuvenation that comes with staying at a tranquil abode in the hills.

Camping facilities of best quality are provided to travellers and guests who are eager to experience fresh air in the lap of nature . We also have another raw property beside, which can give groups an amazing experience of camping in the near future.

Barbeque

Order in advance and we will provide you the mouth watering barbeque and grilled chicken preparation . No pork or beef is cooked or served in our property.

Bonfire

One can enjoy the warmth of firewood with the scenic night view of the sky above as well as the city of DARJEELING, KALIMPONG JORETHANG and other places as well. on a clear night one will be mesmerised with the view of twinkling lights in the far away hills .
